RESOLUTION NO. 2705
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH ADJOINING CITIES
RE VALLEY CITIES NARCOTICS TASK FORCE
WHEREAS the City of Renton and adjoining cities share common
boundaries, and
WHEREAS all the cities have a common interest in enforcement
efforts directed at reducing drug trafficking; and
WHEREAS a Federal grant has been obtained to fund the Valley
Cities Narcotics Task Force, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to authorize the Mayor and City
Clerk to enter into any Interlocal Cooperative Agreement, now
therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above recitals are, found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the cities
RESOLUTION NO. 2705
of Tukwila, Rent and Auburn to form the Valley Cities Narcotics
Task Force.
