RESOLUTION NO. 2706
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS the City of Renton has determined that there are
certain petrochemical contaminants in Well No. 3 ; and
WHEREAS immediate action is necessary to isolate the
contamination and remedy the situation; and
WHEREAS it would be detrimental to the City' s best interest
to delay work until the public bidding process could be
fulfilled, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above recitals are true and correct
SECTION II : An emergency is hereby declared and the
expenditure of up to $75 , 000 . 00 is authorized to study and take
steps to remedy the contamination problem.
