RESOLUTION NO. 2729
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR
RENTON STREETS STUDY.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has the need to prepare a study to
develop alternative routes to remove through traffic trips from
Renton streets; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation is
willing to provide funding for such a study in an amount of
$30, 000 . 00; and
WHEREAS, it would be advantageous for the City of Renton to
enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the State of
Washington to accept said funding and to undertake such a street
study, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an
Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Washington State
Department of Transportation for a Renton city streets study.
