HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2738 l CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2738 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON SETTING A HEARING DATE (FRIENDS OF YOUTH) VAC-003-88 WHEREAS, the City of Renton, on its own initiative, or following petition by more than one-half (1/2) of adjoining property owners, pursuant to the requirement of RCW 35. 79 wishes to vacate a portion of a certain street as hereinafter more particularly described, to-wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if -fully set forth. WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to fix a date for public hearing° thereon; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I : That the 19th day of September, 1988, at the hour of 7 :30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, Renton, King County, Washington, be and is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing on the vacation of the aforedescribed street vacation (portion of Pelly Place N. , 102nd Place S.E. , lying north of N. 26th Street) which said hearing date is not more than sixty (60) days nor less than twenty (20) days from the date of passage of this Resolution. SECTION II : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by RCW 35.79 and any and/or all persons interested therein or objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon, or they may file 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2738 � their written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation. SECTION III: The City Council may determine at or prior to said hearing whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as provided for in Ordinance No. 2349; the City likewise reserves the right to retain an easement for public utility and other public purposes over any of the portion determined to be vacated.
