HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2741 i CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2741 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ESTABLISH A PETTY CASH FUND FOR PAYMENT OF FEES TO RENTON MUNICIPAL COURT WITNESSES AND JURORS. WHEREAS, The City has maintained a separate checking account in the amount of $2,000 for use to pay a nominal fee to those individuals called to testify or perform jury duty at the Renton Municipal Court, and WHEREAS, it has become very costly and time consuming to maintain an account with such a high volume of checks usually written for less than $20 each, and WHEREAS, the finance department feels a more cost effective approach to pay these individuals is in cash immediately following the service, NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The above recitals are found to be true and correct. SECTION II: The Finance Director may establish and maintain a Municipal Court witness fee petty cash account in the sum of $2,000 to be used exclusively for payment of fees earned by witnesses and jurors._ PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 12th day p of Se tember 1988.
