HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2649 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2649 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, EXTENDING THE MORATORIUM ON GRANTING OF PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT APPROVALS WHEREAS b Resolution No. 2629 the Cit Council of the Y � Y City of Renton has previously declared a six month moratorium for further planned unit development approvals for applications received after December 16, 1985; and WHEREAS said six month period will expire on. June 30 , 1986; and WHEREAS the City Council is still engaged in a study of the planned unit development concept to determine whether the benefits thereof are sufficient to outweigh the concerns which have been expressed regarding the planned unit development concept; and WHEREAS the City Council desires to extend the moratorium for an additional six-month period to give the City an adequate opportunity to carefully study the planned unit development concept without further damage to the City caused by planned unit developments, and without unnecessary pressures of time; NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II: For a six-month period of .time ending December 31, 1986, there shall be a moratorium for further planned unit development approvals for applications received after December 16, 1985 .
