RESOLUTION NO. 2601
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING
COUNTY FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON 87TH AVENUE
S.
WHEREAS the City of Renton has budgeted street improvements
on Taylor Avenue N.W. and Taylor Place N.W. using Forward Thrust
Funds, from Renton Avenue N.W. to the North City Limits; and
WHEREAS King County has offered to expand the project scope
into the County segment of 87th Avenue S. to improve sidewalks
for pedestrians and to provide funding for design and construction
in the amount of $30, 000 .00 for that purpose; and
WHEREAS the City of Renton has agreed to design and administer
the construction contract; and
WHEREAS it is necessary to memorialize such terms and
conditions by means of an Interlocal Agreement, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II: The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to
. execute an agreement with King County for the purpose of improving
87th Avenue South, which has portions of the project area within the
City of Renton and King County.
