RESOLUTION NO. 2602
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR JOINT
CITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN
THE VICINITY OF MONROE AVENUE N.E. , KIRKLAND
AVENUE N.E. AND N.E. 7TH STREET
WHEREAS the Renton Vocational Technical Institute is
located within the City limits of the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS the Renton School District in expanding the Vocational
Technical Institute is required to install certain on and off site
improvements in the vicinty of Monroe Avenue N.E. , Kirkland Avenue
N.E. and N.E. 7th Street; and
WHEREAS the City of Renton also desires to make improvements
in those general areas; and
WHEREAS it would be most advantageous for the City of
Renton to serve as lead agency for the management and construction
of this project, but it would be beneficial for the two municipal
corporations to work together as a joint project, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The" above Irecitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II : It is beneficial to the City of Renton to enter
into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement and the Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized to sign such an agreement.
