RESOLUTION NO. 2540
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
PROVIDING A WELL-DESERVED COMMENDATION TO
JAN HINMAN
WHEREAS, it has been learned that Jan Hinman, reporter for Valley Newspapers
covering news of the City of Renton, has been assigned to the County Courthouse to
cover news generated by the King County Council , effective December 12, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Jan Hinman
has reported the news of City Hall with the utmost
accuracy, impartiality, intelligence, wit and humor; and
WHEREAS, Jan 's departure for the Courthouse engenders among City employees
mixed emotions of pleasure at her promotion and recognition of her talents and dismay
at the realization of our loss of her friendship and professionalism;
NOW, .THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, do
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION I :
The Council , the Mayor, and the Staff of the City of Renton,
Washington, offer to Jan Hinman. their appreciation for a job well,-
done for Renton and their sincere expressions of faith for a most
successful and rewarding future in her new assignment.
