RESOLUTION NO. 2557
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE BOND ISSUE FOR
CONSTRUCTING AND EQUIPPING A COMMUNITY CENTER
AND URGING THE SUPPORT OF THE VOTERS
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton has determined
that a bond issue should be. placed before the voters at. the Primary
Election in September of this year for funding of constructing and
equipping a Community Center, and
WHEREAS such Community Center has been on the Park Comprehensive
Plan and Capital Facilities Plan, and
WHEREAS such Community Center would provide recreational
opportunities for a large segment of the population of the City of
Renton, and
WHEREAS the Community Center would replace the Mother 's Park
facilities and expand on the capacity of that facility, and
WHEREAS the most recent bond issue for Gene Coulon Memorial
Park resulted in a universally acknowledged and recognized facility ,
now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals are true and correct
SECTION II : The City Council of the City of Renton do
hereby endorse and support the bond issue for constructing and

equipping a Community Center and urge the voters to support the
bond issue.
