RESOLUTION NO . 2449
WHEREAS the City of Renton is in the process of acquiring
fifty-two acres of property along the Cedar River known as the
Thomas Property , and
WHEREAS there are monies available for such purposes under
the King County Forward Thrust Program, and
WHEREAS King County has indicated its willingness to make
such monies available to the City of Renton, and the City is willing
to accept such monies from the County , NOW, THEREFORE ,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RE:NTON DO HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals are true and correct .
SECTION II : The City of Renton be and hereby is authorized
to accept monies from King County under the auspices of the King
County Forward Thrust Program. The monies shall be used by the City
solely for the purchase of the subject property and the City in
accepting and using any such monies shall adhere to all rules and
regulations prescribed in King County Resolution No . 34571 .
