RESOLUTION NO. 2351
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL
CURB AND GUTTER, SIDEWALKS, CHANNELIZATION, ROAD
WIDENING, RETAINING WALLS AND STORM DRAINAGE
TOGETHER WITH ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES
THERETO ON PUGET DRIVE S.E. FROM BENSON ROAD TO
ROLLING HILLS AVENUE S.E. AS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN; AND TO CREATE A LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND
EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE
PROPERTIES IN. SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITED
THEREBY; NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO
OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT
THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 25, 1980 AND CREATING LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 319
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTONv WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Renton, Washington, to construct and install curb and gutter, sidewalks, channeli7oation,
road widening, retaining walls and storm drainage together with all','#`i�' sry
appurtenances thereto, in the following described- area of the City, to-wit:"°"'��3
1. (a) Description of Local Improvement District No. 319
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is made a part
hereof as if fully set forth.
(b) Improvements:
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "B" which is made a part
hereof as if fully set forth.
There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of
all necessary valves, fittings, couplings, connections, equipment and appurtenances, and
the acquisition of any easements, rights-of-way and land that may be required; and
there shall further be included the performance of such work as may be incidental
and necessary to the foregoing construction and installation.
The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and amend the details of
the foregoing described improvement, including the financing thereof, where in its
judgment it appears advisable, provided such modifications and amendments 'do not

substantially alter the general plan of said improvement project. All of the foregoing
shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by
the Director of public Works of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: The entire cost and expense of said improvement unless
hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council, shall be borne by and
assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvement to be included
in the local improvement district to be established, embracing as neer as may be all
property Specially benefited by such improvement. There shall be included in the cost
and expense of said improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35.44.020.
SECTION III: That all persons who may desire to object to the improvement
herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting
of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Renton, Wa
at 8:00 P.M. on August 25, 1980 which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing
all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and- for
determining the method of payment for said improvement. The City Clerk shall give
notice of said hearing and said proposed improvement as required by low.
SECTION IV: Warren Gonnason, Public Works Director, or his duly authorized
representative, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council, on or before the
aforesaid hearing date, all data and information required by law to be submitted.

ORDINANCE NO. 2351
That portion of the S.W. 1/4 of Section 20, Township 23 N, Range 4 E. ,
W.M. described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection to the centerline of Benson Road South
and Puget Drive S. ; thence easterly along the centerline of Puget Drive
S. 315 Feet to the point of beginning; thence northerly at right angles
to said centerline of Puget Drive S. a distance of 170 feet; thence
easterly along a line which lies 170 feet northerly of and parallel to
said centerline of Puget Drive to the east line of the S.W. 1/4 of said
Section 20; thence southerly along said east line to a point on the
south right-of-way line of Puget Drive South; thence westerly along the
southerly right-of-way line of Puget Drive South to a point on the
easterly right-of-line of Puget Sound Power & Light Co. 's right-of-way;
thence south easterly along said right-of-way line to a point which lies
170 feet southerly of as measured at' right angles or radially to the
centerline of Puget Drive South to a point 315 feet easterly as measured.

Description Of Improvements
Puget Drive South

Ordinance No. 2351
The improvements to Puget Dr. S. from Benson Road South to Rolling Hills
Ave. S.E. an approximate distance of 1 ,300 feet consists of widening the
roadway from 24' to 56' which will require curbs and gutters, sidewalks,
asphalt paving, retaining walls, .and storm drainage together with all
necessary appurtenances.
