A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN .ENERGENCY, D AUTHORIZING
CITY .WORK FORCES TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALK; IMPROVEMENTS
ADJACENT ,`T0 BURNETT LINEAR PARK
WHEREAS "th.e City .of Renton as.:per.l the reouirements o'f
Public Bid Law did; by public bid, award a contract for the installatiozi
of certain improvern�ents.. along .Burnett Avenue,' 5 , .� adjacent to. the
Burnett .Linear Park and
�THEREAS the contractor 'was not able. to satisfactorily and
timely pE�rform said work, and
WIFREASthe Cit of Renton has ataarded another .and much larger
contract for street .pavi. ng in. the area, which Contract must be performed
in the immediate near future or the bwai11
id ll.'no longer be valid; or
the cost will increase substantially„_ to the City, and '
WHEREAS any delay in the street paving wrourein
severe inconvenience fo'r' the citizens in the, area with the rapid
approach of winter . and 'the rainy sea`s on; and
WHEREAS” it is n.ecessary for..' thei
sdewalk impraveriients in
the original contract to .be completed before the onset of 'winter,
and the rainy season, and

RESOLVE. AS FOLLOWS :,
SECTION I : The above recitals, are , foutld to; be true and f
correct in all respects .
SECTION II An emergency is hereby declared Concerning
the sidewalk improvements along "Burnett Avenue, ad3acent to Burnett
