ORDINANCE NO. 3413
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 5-1912 OF TITLE V (BUSINESS
REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. . 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
RELATING TO TAXICAB ZONES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO. ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 5-1912 of Title V (Business
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 5-1912, as amended: TAXICAB ZONES: There are hereby
established the following taxi zones in the city, and such zones
or anv substitutes therefore as determined by the Citv Council
from time to time, shall be assigned to the licensee by the City
Council at the time of the issuing of licenses as provided in this
chapter:
(A) A taxicab zone on the southwest corner on ideals Avenue
South at South 3rd Street
(B) A taxi zone in the first parking, space south of
Houser Way on the east side of Wells Avenue South
There shall not be more than one taxicab parked in any taxi
zone specified in subsections a and b at any one time. It shall be
unlawful for anv taxi tab to park in any other restricted area
except for the purpose of picking up passengers upon call or
discharging passengers.
The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to
provide for the erection of suitable signs relative to the taxi
parking zones.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
