ORDINANCE NO. 3423
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
MAKING IT A VIOLATION TO ABUSE OR TORMENT ANIMALS
USED BY POLICE AGENCIES AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES
THEREFOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
SECTION I : It shall be unlawful for any person to
willfully or mal'ic'iously torture , torment , beat , kick, strike,
choke, cut, stab , stone, :shoot, mutilate , injure, disAble , kill ,
arouse , anger, or excite, or to interfere with or meddle with any
animal while it is. being caged, kennelled, transported, exhibited,
exercised, or used in discharging or attempting to discharge any
lawful duty or function or power of office , by any bona fide
police officer or his representative , for any police agency,
within the corporate City-Limits.-of the City or Renton. .
SECTION II : Any, person found guilty of violating provisions
of this Ordinance shall be guilty of' a misdemeanor and shall be
punishable by fine not to exceed Five Hundred .Dollars:. ($500 . 00) 'or,
by jail term not to exceed six (6) months , or by both such fine
and such jail term:
