AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ,
VACATING A .PORTION OF N.E . 12TH STREET (VAC-6-80
` CITY OF RENTON)
WHEREAS the City of Renton, on its own initiative, pursuant to
® the requirement of RCW 3.5. 79 determined it advisable to consider vacating
a portion of N. E. 12th Street; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 2347 passed and approved
on July 7, 1980, and after due investigation, did fix and determine
the 11th day of August, 1980, at the hour of 8 :00 P.M. in the City
Council Chamgers of the City of Renton to be the time and place for a
public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given due notice. of
such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all persons having been
heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto; and
ti"HEREAS the Department of Public Works and the Planning Department
of the City of Renton having duly considered said petition for said
vacation, and having found same to be in the public interest and
for the public benefit, and no injury or damage to any person or properties
will result from such vacations ;
NOW THEREFORE,, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described portion of N. E. 12th St. ,
to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof as if fully set forth herein
BE AND SAME IS HEREBY -VACATED
SECTION II: The City Council hereby elects to charge a fee of
to Petitioner-Owners , said amount not exceeding one-half
of the City' s appraisal of the right-of-way interest herein vacated,
and such charge being reasonable and proper.

SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after publication.
A certified copy. of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Office
of Records and Elections , King County, and as otherwise provided by law.

That portion of NE 12th St. as shown in the corrected Plat of Menton Highlands
as recorded in Volume 57 of plats, Pages 92 to 98 records of King County
Waehington and particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Harrington Ave. NL' and NE 12th St. , thence S.
8859'45" E. along the centerline of NE 12th St. a distance of 310 ft. to the
center point of a 40 ft. radius cul--de-sac;
.Thence S. 52018150" W. a distance of 40 ft. to the true point of beginning;
Thence S. 88°59145" E. along the southerly margin of NE 12th St. as extended
easterly a distance of 62.44 ft. ;- thence southwesterly along a curve to the
right having a radius of 40 ft. through an angle of 102°36146" to the true
point of beginning.
