AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF iENTON, WASHINGTON,

GRANTING UNTO NORTHWEST PIPELINE CORP . , ITS
SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS , THE RIGHT , PRIVILEGE ,
AUTHORITY AND FRANCHISE TO LOCATE , LAY D0,,7N,
CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, OPERATE , ALTER, REMOVE ,
REPLACE AND REPAID. ONE OR MORE PIPELINES ,
TOGETHER WITH EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES
THERETO FOR THE TRAJSPORTATION OF NATURAL GAS
UNDER, THROUGH AND BELOW CERTAIN DESIGNATED
ROADWAYS AND PUBLIC PROPERTIES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, STATE OF WASHIJGTON, AND EX-ENDI14G THE
FRANCHISE PREVIOUSLY GRANTED UNTO EL PASO NATURAL
GAS COMPANY, THE PREDECESSOR IN INTEREST TO SAID
NORTHWEST PIPELINE CORP . , ALL UNDER ORDINANCE NO .
2534
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : There was previously given and granted unto
El Paso Natural Gas Company , a Delaware Corporation, its successors
and assigns , a franchise to locate , lay down, construction, maintain,
operate, alter, remove, replace and repair one or more gas lines
within the City Limits of the mit,' o ' penton for a duration of ten (10)
years .
SECTION II : Northwest Pipeline Corporation is the successor
in interest to El Paso Natural Gas Company and as such obtained the
rights to said franchise.
SECTION III • The franchise by its terms has expired. By
this Ordinance, the franchise held by Northwest Pipeline Corporation
as successor in interest to El Paso natural Gas Company is extended
for an additional period of year under the same terms d

conditions as established in Ordinance No. 2534, which Ordinance is
ihaurporlated liere� as if fully set forth, except Section 5 thereof ,,hich
s a ao onger e e ective.
SECTION IV: This franchise is granted upon the express
condition that it shall not be deemed or held to be an exclusive
franchise and shall not in any manner prevent the City of Renton from
granting any or further franchises .

SECTION V: A complete and current facilities plan and
map for Northwest Pipeline Corporation is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" and incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
