ORDINANCE NO. 3488
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITIIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) „TO BUSI.NESS: DISTRICT
(B-1) (R-084-80 City of` Renton) .
WHEREAS under Chapter 7, Title IV (Building Regulations) .
of Ordinance No. 1628 known as ” the"'Code of General Ordinances of
the City of Renton as amended, and the maps and reports adopted
in conjunction ther.e.with, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been .zoned as Residence District (R=2) ' and
WHEREAS a. proper petition for change -of zone classification of
said property has been filed with the Planning Department' on or
about August 27, 1980, which petition was duly- referred to. the
Hearing Examiner for investigation study and ,public hearing, and.
a public hearing having been held -t. hereon on or about September 30,
1980, and said matter having been 'duly considered by thb Hearing
Examiner and s, zoning reque'st. having ,been denied October 3, 1980
and, the matter nay.ing.`been app a 1 e d to the 'City Council of .the City
of Renton and said City Council having reversed the Hearing' Examiner 's
Decision November I7; 1.980, and said zoning request being in con- ,
fortuity with the :City ' sComprehensve. Plan,. as amended; and the City
Council having considered all `matterS relevant thereto, and all parties
having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition ,thereto,
NOW THEREFORE {
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 'OF RENTON,- WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN '
AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION I : The following described property in`the, City-of
Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District ,(B-1) as hereinbelow

specified; the Planning Director.. is hereby authorized and directed
to change the maps :of the Zoning Ordinance,_ as amended, to evidence
said rezoning, to-wit:
See Exhibit ''A" .attached hereto and made a part
hereof as if fully set forth herein.
(Said property being located on South side of N. E.
12th Street between Harrington Place N. E. and
Harrington Avenue N. E. )
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage,
approval and five days after- its: publication.

That portion of Public Land Use Area within Block 46 according. to
the corrected plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 as recorded in Volume
57 of plats, pages 92 to 98, Records. of King County, Washington,
together with that vacated portion of Northeast 12th Street under
Ordinance No. 3466 , City of Rentori., . Washington, bounded on the west
by the west line of Lot 21 and the,west line of Lot 22 of said Block
46; bounded on the east by Tract A of said Block 46 and bounded on
the north. by the south margin of Northeast 12th Street as it now
exists and lying northerly .of ,a line extended from the southeast .
corner of Lot 21 of said .Biock 46 to -the southwest corner of Tract
A of said Block 46.
