AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON ,
A14ENDING A PORTION OF CHAPTER 8 , TITLE I (ADMIN-
ISTRATIVE) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE
OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
RELATING TO VACATION ALLOWANCE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing subsection (A) 4 of Section 1-802 ,
of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 1-802 (A) 4. , as amended : The minimum vacation
allowance to be taken by an employee shall be in one (1) hour increments .
Officers and employees , as hereinabove defined, who are laid off, .
retired or who resign after more than one year' s service, shall be given
proportionate vacations earned in the current year , together with any
unused earned vacations for the preceding calendar year before being
separated from the payroll . On the death of an employee in active
service , pay shall be allowed for any vacation earned in the preceding
year and in the current year and not taken prior to the death of
such employee.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five days after its publication.
