HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 3546 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. -1540 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO CLOSE THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT TRAINING FUND (CETA) AND PROVIDE A PORTION OF FUNDING FOR GABION/PATH PROJECT ALONG CEDAR RIVER WHEREAS the City of Renton , Washington has certain excess revenues in the Comprehensive Employment Training Fund, hereafter referred to as CETA Fund and/or CETA Program, and the CETA Program having ended and all reimbursements from the CETA Program having been received, and WHEREAS Resolution #1938 ( 10/74) provided for interim financing from the Contingency Fund #10? to the CETA Fund #122 in the amount of $5,000.00, said amount to be returned to the Contingency g Y Fund upon termination of the CETA Program, and WHEREAS it is now appropriate to close out the CETA Fund by appropriating the remaining balance in the CETA Fund to the Street Fund, as if $5,000. 00 has been transferred back to the Contingency Fund and transferred out of the Contingency Fund to the Street Fund, fulfilling the conditions of Resolution #1938. Remaining balance in the CETA Fund in the amount of $14,846. 55 to be used in the Street Fund for a portion of the cost of Gabion/Path Project along the Cedar River in the vicinity of the Main Library to the Bronson Way Bridge, and WHEREAS it is necessary to appropriate $289.08 to the CETA Fund budgetary account from CETA Fund excess revenue to keep the budgetary fund solvent, and WHEREAS it is necessary and advisable to appropriate and transfer from the CETA Fund excess revenue into the below mentioned funds, thereby closing the CETA Fund, and such appropriation and transfer being necessary and in the public interest and for the public benefit, NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: -1- CITY .OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 3546 - Cont . SECTION I : The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the following appropriations and transfers: APPROPRIATE FROM: CETA Fund Excess Revenue --------------- $ 289. 08 APPROPRIATE UNTO: CETA Fund Budgetary Account g Y CETA/Park Facilities Division a/c 122/000/20. 533. 50. 11 .00 (Salaries) - $ 289.08 TRANSFER FROM: CETA Fund Excess Revenue --------------- $14,846. 55 (Close out CETA Fund) APPROPRIATE UNTO: Street Fund/Sea Walls/Cedar River Maint. a/c 103/000/15. 542. 53.22. 00 (Opr. Supl. ) $14,846. 55 (Portion of funding for Gabion/Path Project along Cedar River) SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval and five days after its publication.
