AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 6-2007 OF TITLE
VI (POLICE REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO . 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF RENTON" RELATING TO GAMBLING TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 6-2007 of Title VI
(Police Regulations) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended as
follows :
Section 6-2007 , as amended: TAX PAYMENT; WHEN DUE,
PENALTY: The tax imposed by this Ordinance shall be due and
payble in quarterly installments and remittance therefor shall
accompany each return made on or before the 30th day of the month
next succeeding the quarterly period in which the tax accrued.
There shall be added a penalty , for each payment due ,
if such payment is not made by the due date thereof, as follows :
(A) A ten percent (10%) penalty, with a minimum of
two dollars ($2. 00) for the first seventeen days delinquency
(B) A fifteen percent (15%) penalty , with a minimum
of four dollars ($4. 00) for the first eighteen (18) to forty (40)
days delinquency .
(C) Any delinquency of forty one (41) or more days shall
be deemed a violation of this Section.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
