ORDINANCE NO. 3616
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 4-2711 OF SECTION IV (BUILDING
REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED
CODE OF GENERAL ORDINA14CES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON" RELATING TO BUILDING AND OCCUPANCY
PERMITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 4-2711 of Title IV (Building
Regulations) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read
as follows :
Section 4-2711 , as amended: BUILDING AND OCCUPANCY PERMITS .
A. Building permits shall be issued for construction in
planned unit development areas only in accordance with the final
plan and program elements of the final plan as approved by the
City Council .

B. The Building Director may issue a temporary or final
occupancy permit subject to any conditions appropriate to insure
the public health , safety and general welfare, and to insure
the timely execution of the remainder of the Planned Unit Development .
Prior to issuance of the permit the Director shall find:
1. That the developer is engaged in the continuation
of the construction of the remainder of the Planned Unit
Development application.
2. That all requirements of the Planned Unit Development
approval , and required health and safety ordinances of the
City of Renton have been satisfied.
3. That the partial occupancy has been granted deferrals
of on-site or off-site improvements not yet completed pursuant
to provisions of the Renton Municipal Code.

4. That partial occupancy will be in the general
public interest , and not detrimental to the public health,
safety and welfare.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and thirty days after publication.
