HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 3669 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO . 3669 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON AMENDING PORTIONS OF SECTION 4-1903 AND SECTION 4-1915 OF TITLE IV (BUILDING REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO . 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF TUE CITY OF PENTON" RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL OPEN HOUSE SIGNS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I : Existing Section 4-1903 (3) of Title IV (Buildin Regulations) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinance of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection : Section 4-1903 (3) N. Residential open house signs . SECTION II : Existing section 4-1915 of Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection : Section 4-1915 (6) . Residential Open House Signs . Signs advertising "open house" and the direction to a residence for sale shall be limited to one sign on the premises for sale and three off-premises signs . However , if a real estate company has more than one house open for inspection in a single development or subdivision, they shall be limited to four off-premises "open house" signs in the entire development or subdivision. Such signs are permitted only during daylight hours and when the real estate company representative or seller or an agent is in attendance at the property for sale . No such sign shall exceed four square feet in surface area for each surface of the sign. The sign may be placed only along the periphery of a public right of way in a manner so as not to obstruct the vision or pathway of vehicular or pedestrian traffic . SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage , approval and thirty (30) days after publication . PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 1st day of November , 1982 .
