AN ORDINKNCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ,
VACATING A PORTION OF SOUTH 17TH: PLACE (VAC .08-82
HALSEN)
- ,WFIEREAS a proper petition for vacating; a portion of South
17th Place, Penton, King County, Washington, was duly filed with the
City Clergy: on or about October 15 , 1982 , and said petition having been
signed by the owners representing more than two-thirds (2/3) of the
property abutting upon such street sought to be vacated; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No . 2483 passed and
approved on November 15 , 1982 , and after due investigation , did fix
and determine the 13th day of December, 1582, at the hour of 3 :00
P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the
time and place for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk :laving
given due notice of such hearing in the runner provided by lay:, and
all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in, opposition
thereto ; and the City Council having considered all information and
arguments presented to it , and
INEEREAS the Board of Public Works of the City of Renton
having duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having -.,
found same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit,
and no injury or damage to any person or properties will result from
such vacation ;
NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RLJNTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described portion of street , to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as
if fully set forth herein.
BE AND THE SAFE IS HEREBY VACATED . with no fee to be paid unto the
City by Petitioners-owners .
SECTIOv II : This ;ordinance shall be effective upon its,
passaae, ' approval and five days after its publication .

Office of Records and Elections , and as otherwise provided by law.

(VAC-8-82 - Poriton of South 17th Place)
All that portion of a 30 foot wide driveway now known as South 17th Place
as shown on the plat of Plat #2 of Renton Co-operative Coal Company's #2,
as recorded in Volume 9 of Plats, Page 27, Records of King Coutny, Washtinton;
lying southerly of Tract 4 and northerly of Tract 5 of said plat; lying
westerly of the prolongation of the easterly right-of-way line of Talbot
Road South; and lying westerly of the west right-of-way line of State Route
515 said westerly right-of-way line being described as follows: Beginning
at a point opposite highway engineer's station (H.E.S. ) 400+50 and 50 feet
westerly when measured at right angle to the centerline survey of said
S.R. 515• thence northwester) and parallel to said centerline to a point
