ORDINANCE NO. 3700
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
VACATING A PORTION OF HARDIE AVENUE N.W. (VAC 6-82
CHRISTOPHERSON)
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of
M Hardie Avenue N.W. (south of N.W. 5th Street) , Renton , King County ,
0 Washington, was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about September

N 8 , 1982 , and said petition having been signed by the owners representi

rn more than two-thirds (2/3rd) of the property abutting upon such street

sought to be vacated ; and

0 WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No . 2480 passed
N and approved on October 25 , 1982 , and after due investigation , did

co fix and determine the 22nd day of November , 1982 at the hour of
z 8 : 00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be
Hthe time and place for a public hearing thereon , and the City Clerk

o having given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by

a law, and all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in
opposition thereto ; and the City Council having considered all
information and arguments presented to it , and
WHEREAS the Board of Public Works of the City of Renton
having duly considered said petition for said vacation , and having
found same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit ,
and no injury or damage to any person or properties will result from
such vacations ;
NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON ,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described portion of street ,
to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
as if fully set forth herein

BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED with no fee to be paid unto the
City by Petitioner-owners and subject to an easement to be retained
by the City for utility and related purposes over , across , under
and on all of the aforedescribed property.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effecitve upon its
passage , approval and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections , and as otherwise provided by law.

All that portion of Hardie Avenue N.W. ( formerly known as
91st Avenue S. and also as Ohio Avenue ) as dedicated on the plat
of Latimer's Lake Park Addition as recorded in Volume 18 of plats,
page 63 , records of King County, Washington;
Lying between Block 18 and Block 21 of said plat,
and Lying southerly of a straight line extending from the northeast
corner of lot 16 of said Block 18 to the northwest corner of lot 1
of said Block 21 ,
and Lying northerly of a line described as follows : Beginning at the
southeast corner of lot 14 of said Block 18 ; thence easterly along
the easterly extension of the south line of said lot 14 to the
centerline of said Hardie Avenue N.W. ( formerly known as 91st Ave . S.
and also as Ohio Ave. ) ; thence northerly along said centerline to
its intersection with the westerly extension of the south line of
lot 3 of said Block 21 ; thence easterly along said westerly extension
to the southwest corner of said lot 3 of Block 21 and the terminus of
said line .
Situate in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7 ,
Township 23 North , Range S East , W.M. , in King County , Washington .
