ORDINANCE NO. 3702
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE BASIC SERVICE
CHARGE FOR CABLE TV SERVICES FOR GROUP W CABLE,
INC.
WHEREAS under the franchise ordinance for Group W Cable,
Inc . , Section IV thereof, the City Council is required to approve
the rates charged for basic services, and
WHEREAS under the terms of that ordinance, a public
hearing was held on August 9 , 1982 , and continued until September
13 , 1982 , and all members of the public wishing to be heard having
spoken and the City having considered the information provided to
it by 3-H Management and Consultants, the City' s cable communica-
tions consultant, and the Council having considered all information
before it, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION I : The rate of basic service within the city
limits of the City of Renton is hereby approved at the rate of
$10 . 35 per month, which amount includes all charges corresponding
to local taxes . Additional outlet rates and connection charges
are approved as shown on the attached schedule .
SECTION II : This increase in rates is specifically
conditioned upon Group W Cable , Inc. , completing the construction
of the cable system within the City of Renton within eighteen
months after passage of this ordinance .
SECTION III : Rates as proposed by Group W Cable, Inc . ,
for connections, installation and other fees relative to basic
services shall hereby be approved (attached) .
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after publication.
