ORDINANCE NO . 3703
AN ORDINA4CE OF THE CITY OF' RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1-503 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE NO . 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
TIM': OF MEETING OF THE COMIITTEE OF THE WHOLE OF
THE RENTON CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 1-504 of Title I (Administrative)
of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton" is hereby amended as follows :
Section 1-503 , as amended : TIME AND PLACE OF MEETINGS : The
City Council shall hold its regular meetings on the first four (4)
14ondays of each month, commencing at the hour ofteight o ' clock
(8 :00) P .M. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall , or at
such other place or places that the City Council may determine
from time to time .
Special or "Committee of the Whole" meetings of the City
Council shall be held on the second Thursday of each month at the
hour of seven-thirty o ' clock . (7 : 30) P .M. in the City Council chambers
of the City Hall unless otherwise indicated by the City Council , except
that such meetings shall not be held during the months of January ,
July and November .
Additional special meetings may be called by tine Mayor ,or any
four (4) members of the City Council by written notice delivered to
each member of the Council at least twenty four (24) hours before the
time specified for the proposed meeting, and as otherwise provided
by Chapter 250 , _Laws of 1971 , First Ex. Sess (Open Public Meetings
Act of 1971) and further subject to the provisions of RCW 35A. 12 . 110 .
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five days after publication.
