ORDINANCE NO. 3771
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
VACATING A PORTION OF SW 38TH STREET AND VALLEY
PARKWAY (BURLINGTON NORTHERN R.R. - VAC-02-83)
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of SW
38th Street and Valley Parkway, Renton, King County, Washington,
was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about August 22 , 1983 ,
and said petition having been signed by the owners representing
III � more than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon such
street sought to be vacated; and

WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 2525 passed and
approved on September 19 , 1983, at the hour of 8 :00 P.M. in the
30 City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time and place
for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given due
notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all persons
having been heard appearing in favor or in oppostion thereto ; and the
City Council having considered all information and arguments presented
to it , and
WHEREAS the Board of Public Works. of the City of Renton having
duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having found
same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit n n

injury or damage to any person or properties will result from such
vacation;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described portion of SW 38th St.
and Valley Parkway, to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereto
as if fully set forth herein.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED with no fee to be paid unto
the City by Petitioner-owners .
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
A Certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with
the Office of Records and Elections , and as otherwise provided by
law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 19th day of Decembez 1983.

EXHIBIT "A"
VAC-02-83 - S.W.. 38th St. and Portion of Longacres Parkway
All that portion of S.W. 38th Street lying West of the East .line of the Southwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 23 North, Range 4 East,
W.M. , King County, Washington, and lying East of the southerly extension of the
East right-of-way line of Longview Avenue South as dedicated by the plat of
Burlington Northern Industrial Park, Renton II as recorded in Volume 111 of plats,
pages 42 to 44, records of King County.
TOGETHER WITH that portion of Longacres Parkway (or Valley Parkway) lying West of
the East line of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 25,
Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M. , and lying South of the North line of the
Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 25.
