ORDINANCE NO. 3841
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
VACATING A PORTION OF LAKEVIEW AVENUE AND
RENTON AVENUE BETWEEN N. E . 4TH AND N. E . 5TH
STREETS AND AMENDING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION
CONTAINED IN PRIOR ORDINANCE NO. 3341 (VAC 9-78)
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of Lakeview
Avenue and Renton Avenue between N. E. 4th St . and N.E. 5th Place ,
Renton, King County, Washington, was duly filed- with the City Clerk
on or about December 15 , 1978 , and said petition having been signed
by owners representing more than two-thirds of the property abutting
upon such street sought to be vacated; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 2237 passed and
approved on January 15 , 1979 , and after due investigation, did fix
and determine the 26th da of February, 1
y 979, at the hour of 8 :00
Y
P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the
timetand place for a public hearing hereon, and the City Clerk having
given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all
persons having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto,
and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works and the Planning
Department of the City of Renton having duly considered said petition for
said vacation, and having found same to be in the public interest and
for the public benefit , and no injury or damage to any person or
properties will result from such vacations ; '

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described portion of street , to-wit :.
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
as if fully set forth herein
BE AND THE SAME IS. HEREBY VACATED.
SECTION II : Ordinance No. 3341 is .hereby repealed in its
entirety because of the inclusion of an erroneous legal description and
this Ordinance is passed in its place and the legal description contained ;
herein is, for all intents and purposes , the correct legal description
for the property vacated.
SECTION III: The City Council hereby elects to charge a
fee of $2.0 , 625. 00 to Petitioner-Owners , said amount not exceeding one-
half of the City' s appraisal of the right-of-.way interest herein
vacated, and such charge being reasonable and proper .
SECTION IV: This. Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with
the Office of Records and Elections , King County , and as otherwise
provided by law.

That portion of Lakeview Avenue (117th Ave. S.E.) having a width of 50 feet,
lying Sly of N.E. 5th Place and Nly of N.E. 4th Street, between blocks 1 and 6,
Plat of Rainier Acres as recorded in Volume 14 of Plats, page 21 records of King
County Washington.
Together with that portion of Renton Avenue (119th Ave. S.E.) having.a width
of 50 feet, lying Sly of N.E. 5th Place and Nly of N.E. 4th Street; lying Ely of
Block 6 and"Wly of lots 1 , 2 and the S 1/2 of 3, Block 7 said plat of Rainier
Acres and also lying Wly of the Plat of Ridge Crest No. 2 as recorded in Volume 59
Of plats, page 89 records of King County Washington except the east half of the
north 470.4 feet of Renton Avenue.
As situated within the SW 1/4 of Section 9, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, Y.M. .
