ORDINANCE NO. 3848
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
REVOKING ORDINANCE NO. 3839 AND No. 3840 BY
WITHDRAWING SUBMITTAL OF BOND ISSUES TO
CONSTRUCT AND EQUIP A COMMUNITY CENTER AND
TO ACQUIRE, RECONDITION AND IMPROVE MAPLE
WOOD GOLF COURSE AND PRESERVE THE CITY'S
WATER SUPPLY, SUCH BOND ISSUES TO HAVE BEEN
SUBMITTED TO THE VOTERS AT THE STATE GENERAL
ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 6, 1984 .
WHEREAS the City Council had adopted Ordinance Nos. 3839
and 3840 authorizing submission to the voters at the State General
Election on November 6, 1984 of two bond issues
the first issue
to construct and equip a Community Center and the second bond
issue to acquire, recondition and improve Maplewood Golf Course
and preserve the City' s water supply; and
WHEREAS the City Council has reconsidered its action and
does not wish to submit those issues to the voters at the next
General Election to be held November 6 , 1984 ; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Ordinance Nos. 3839 and 3840 are hereby repealed
and those issues will not be submitted to the voters as part of
the General Election to be held November 6 , 1984 .
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage and approval and five days after publication.
