ORDINANCE NO. 3877
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ESTABLISHING A GROSS REVENUE TAX AS IT APPLIES
TO THE SOLID WASTE UTILITY OF THE CITY OF RENTON
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton has established
a Solid Waste Utility: and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton has seen fit
to establish a gross revenue tax on other City Utilities, including
the water and sewer utilities, at the rate of 5%; and
WHEREAS it is fitting and appropriate to establish a gross
revenue tax on the Solid Waste Utility at the same rate as the other
utilities, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The gross receipts tax of the Solid Waste Utility
shall be payable by that Utility to the Finance Department of the
City of Renton at the rate of 5% of the operating rate revenue of
the Solid Waste Utility effective January 1 , 1985.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after publication.
