HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2251 , t CITY OF' RENTON , WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO . . 2251 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON TO ADOPT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION. WHEREAS the City of Renton, Washington , desires to construct its public works such as streets , sewers , water distribution system, and other such facilities in accordance with the STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION of the Washington State Chapter of the American Public Works Association published in 1977 , and as herein after more particularly set forth , NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON , AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I : .. All future public works construction , including but not limiting it to streets , sewers , water distribution system.: and similar construction of every type and nature in the City of Renton shall coriform' to the STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL . PUBLIC WORKS CON- STRUCTION of the Washington State Chapter of the American Public Works Association published in 1977 , EXCEPT HOWEVER that sub-section 7-1 . 08 entitled 'Failure to Pay for Labor and Materials" (being part of Section 7 entitled "Legal Relations and Responsibility to the Public") is hereby deleted and stricken from such STANDARD SPECIFCCATIONS ;a11 other terms , pravasions and conditions of said STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS shall remain in full force and effect , and any and all ammendments , additions or modifications thereto when filed with the City Clerk by authorization `of the City Council from time to time shall be considered and accepted and constitute a part of such STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS without the necessity of further adoption of such amendments , additions or modifications ,by ,.the City Council.
