HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2295 •. ? a • CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2295 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL SIDEWALKS, IMBANKMENT COMPACTION, PAVING, CURBS, GUTTERS, DRAINAGE, WATER MAINS, SANITARY SEWERS, STREET LIGHTING AND ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES ON GARDEN AVENUE N. FROM N. 4TH ST. TO N. 8TH ST. AND PARK AVENUE N. FROM N. 6TH STREET TO N. 8TH STREET; AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTIES IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY; NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE T,O OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECT- IONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON January 21 , 1980 LID #316 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, to construct and install sidewalks, imbankment compaction, paving, curbs, gutters, drainage, water mains, sanitary sewers, street lighting and all necessary appurtenances on Garden Avenue N. from N. 4th St. to N. 8th St. and Park Avenue N. from N. 6th Street to N. 8th Street in the following described area of the City, to-wit: 1. (a) Description of Local Improvement District: As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is made a part hereof as if fully set forth. (b) Improvements: As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "B" which is made a part hereof as if fully set forth. There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of all necessary valves, fittings, couplings, connections, equipment and appurtenances, and the acquisition of any easements, rights-of-way and land that may be required; and there shall further be included the performance of such work as may be incidental and necessary to the foregoing construction and installation. The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and amend the details of the foregoing described improvement, including the financing thereof, where in its 1` judgment it appears advisable, provided such modifications and amendments do not substantially alter the general plan of said improvement project. All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Renton. SECTION II: The entire cost and expense of said improvement unless hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council, shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the local improvement district to be established, embracing as near as may be all property specially benefited by such improvement. There shall be included in the cost and expense of said improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35.44.020. SECTION III: That all persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Renton, Washington at 8:00 P.M. on January 21 , 10 slyhich time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvement. The City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing and said proposed improvement as required by law. SECTION IV: Warren Gonnason, Public Works Director, or his duly authorized representative, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council, on or before the aforesaid hearing date, all data and information required by law to be submitted. BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION (EXHIBIT "A") That portion of the SW 1/4 of Section 8, Township 23 N. , Range 5 E. , W.M. described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of the SW 1/4 of said Section 8; thence westerly along the north line of said SW 1/4 to a point of intersection with a line which lies 280 feet easterly of and parallel with the east right-of- way line of Garden Ave. N. ; thence southerly along said line a distance of 30 feet to the True Beginning; Point of g g Thence continuing southerly along said line to the south line of the SW 1/4 of Section 8; thence westerly along the south line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 8 to a point of intersection with a line which lies 280 feet westerly of and parallel with the west right-of-way line of Garden Ave. N.; thence northerly along said line to a point of intersection with the centerline of N. 6th St. ; thence westerly along the centerline of said North 6th St. to a point of intersection with a line which lies 257 feet westerly of and parallel with the westerly right-of-way line of Park Ave. N. ; thence northerly along said line to a point of intersection with a line which lies 30 ft. south of and parallel with the north line of the SW 1/4 of said section 8; thence easterly along said line to the True Point of Beginning.
