CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2306
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A MUTUAL AID
AGREEMENT FOR AUTOMATIC RESPONSE WHEN A STRUCTURAL
FIRE ALARM IS RECEIVED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT
WHEREAS the City of Renton is surrounded by a number of
Fire Departments epart ents and Fire Districts , and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of the City of Renton
to enter into an agreement concerning automatic response when a
structural fire alarm is received, and
WHEREAS the Valley Communications Center has established
a procedure whereby additional equipment and Departments or Districts
will be summoned if additional alarms are received, and
WHEREAS such a system provides a large pool of manpower
and equipment necessary to fight large structural fires , which
pool of equipment and manpower would be difficult, if not impossible,
for any one Department or District to have available without this
Agreement, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OR RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City of Renton is authorized to enter into
a contract for automatic response when a structural fire alarm is
received either by the City or a contracting Department or District ,
and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
agreement for such mutual aid when a structural fire alarm is received.
