OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO . 2164 WHEREAS it is advisable to provide and establish definite guidelines and standards concerning the installation' of utility lines within the City, and WHEREAS the City does hereby set forth such appropriate guidelines for the benefit of the various departments of the City NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following standards and guidelines are hereby established and shall be generally adhered to by the various City departments in dealing with and considering the installation of utility lines within the City. A. All Utilities within the City of Renton will be extended in a manner in and along routes which comply with the comprehensive plans of the City of Renton. B. If no such comprehensive plan exists , then the utilities will be extended and installed in a manner as to best .serve the citizens of the City of Renton C. It is ::,realized and acknowledged by the City Conncil that the selected route or routes may not necessarily be the shortest or most inexpensive route for the installation of such utilities but will best serve, the City over an extended period of time, D. If the route as established by this Resolution is significantly more expensive than other potential routes then the City will study such routes and if it is determined that said routes are for the general benefit of the City, but significantly more expensive for the abutting landowners or others sharing in the expense of the installation of the utilities , the City may participate. in the payment of the installation of such utilities as long as the system is within the City limits.
