CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2169
WHEREAS RCW 35A. 14. 300 authorizes the Legislative Body
of Municipal Code cities , by majority vote, to annex certain territory
outside its City Limits, whether contiguous or non-contiguous for
municipal purposes, and
WHEREAS it has been duly determined to be in the best interest
and for the public benefit to annex certain property that presently
constitutes State right of way and roadway that is a portion of
SR 167 located immediately south of SW 43rd Street and west of the
proposed Springbrook Annexation extension to the westerly boundary
of SR 167 , and
WHEREAS the City Council deems it advisable to provide for
a public hearing on this Resolution to annex said properties, . NOW " <.,
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The aforestated findings and recitals are
hereby found to be true and correct in all respects
SECTION II: The City Council hereby fixes the date of
April 3, 1978 at 8 : 00 P.M. , as the time for a public hearing
upon this Resolution to annex and such hearing to be had in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, City of Renton, and notice thereof to
be given by the City Clerk as provided by law. The property to be
so annexed is described as follows :

SECTION III : Any and all persons wishing to be heard
thereon shall submit their comments on or before the aforementioned
hearing date or appear in person thereat.. and to voice their
approval or objections thereto.
SECTION IV: The City Clerk is further authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
King County Review Board as provided by law.

SR-167 ANNEXATION
That portion of Primary State Highway No. 5 (SR No. 167) within Section
31, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. , described as follows:
All that portion of said freeway right-of-way lying easterly of the
westerly right-of-way line thereof; southerly of the southerly right-of-
way line of SW 43rd St. (S. 180th St.) ; westerly of the easterly right-of-
way line thereof and northerly of the south line of said Section 31.
