CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2177
WHEREAS 'the City of Renton and King County Fire Protection
District No. 40 both maintain fire fighting equipment and personnel
and
WHEREAS it is in the public benefit for said parties to
enter into an automatic response agreement when a structural fire
alarm is received from certain large structures , and
WHEREAS King County Fire Protection District No. 40 has
heretofore indicated its willingness to participate in such an
agreement, and
WHEREAS it is in the benefit of the citizens of the City
of Renton to enter into such an agreement, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City of Renton Fire Department shall be
permitted to respond with fire fighting equipment for mutual aid
response with other Fire Districts or cities where there is a signed
mutual aid agreement and, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into a contract for automatic response when a structural
fire alarm is received e ved at any of the following locations :
1440 Valley General Hospital 1703-A Sunset Vista Apartments
1440 Valley Villa Medical Center 1703 Summer Hilt Apartments
1430 Nelson Jr. High School 1716 Lindbergh High School
1230 Royal Hills Apartments 1711 Cascade Elementary School
Additional equipment beyond the equipment committed for the automatic
response may be utilized when so determined by the Fire Chief of the
City of Renton or his designee.
