RESOLUTION NO . 2203
WHEREAS the City of Renton, Washington and WASHINGTON
NATURAL GAS , a Delaware Corporation, entered into a franchise
agreement for twenty five ( 25) years, dated October 8 , 1962 , and
WHEREAS, Washington Na;t'Ura'1 =Gl'as- . a Delaware Corporation,
is reorganizing and its assets and obligations will be transferred
to Washington . 'Na=tural -Gas;, a Washington Corporation, and
WHEREAS the reoranization has been approved by the
Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, and
WHEREAS the corporate reorganization will be presented
to the corporate shareholders on August 9 , 1978 , and
WHEREAS it appears to be in the best interest of the
citizens and City of Renton, and
WHEREAS Section XXIII requires the written consent of the
City Council of the City of Renton to any assignment, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
,;SECTION II: The City Council of the City of Renton approves
the assignment of the franchise under Ordinance No . 1987 from Washington
Natural Gas, a Delaware Corporation, to Washington Natural_ Gas ,
a Washington Corporation , subject to the approval of that assignment
by the shareholders of said corporation.
