CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2211
WHEREAS the City of Renton has heretofore made applidation •
to the .State of Washington Traffic Safety Commission for `a grant
of federal funds ,for the purpose of a study to ' identify appropriate
corrective measures to reduce accidentsat existing high accident .
locations, and
WHEREAS a state approved grant application has now been
delivered to the City of Renton by: the Washington Traffic Safety
Commission, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I . The.above statements are found to be true and

correct in all respects . •
SECTION II. The City of Renton, Washington, a municipal
corporation, acting as a non-charter code city under thelaws and
statutes of the State of Washington, herewith accepts the grant

offer of the. United States of America in the total sum of $8;000 . 00
to be used for the Identification and Surveillance of Accident -
Locations Grant Program, task number 78-91 :02 .01-609-4A.
SECTION III : The Mayor is further. authori2ed and directed
to institute the. High Accident Reduction .Study as provided by such
grant.
