CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO . 2118'
WHEREAS it has come to the attention of. the City. Council
of the, City of Renton, Washington, that there are certain Federal
funds available for utility rate: relief for senior citizens and low_
income,economically disadvantaged; and
WHEREAS there are a substantial number of such individuals
residing within the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS the City. Council of. the City of Renton believes
that .certain of the above mentioned funds may or will be available
to Renton citizens;and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the office of. the Governor of,
Washington to act immediately in orderto obtain such funds ,
NOW THEREFORE. THE. CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The City Council of the City of Renton hereby
urges the Governor' s office toact as expeditiously as possible to.
secure the above mentioned funds.
