CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO.. 2127
WHEREAS a Petition City
has been filed with Clerk
of the City. of Renton on or about July 20 , 1977 , pursuant to the
requirements. of RCW 35.79 ,. peti•tioning for thevacation of a
portion of a certain street, as hereinafter more particularly
described, and said petition having been signed by the owners
of more than two-thirds of the propertyabutting upon a portion
of said street sought to bevacated, and same being described
as follows : •

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY. THE MAYOR AND. THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That the 19th day of September, 197.7, at
the hour of 8 : 00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal
Building, Renton, King County., Washington, be and is hereby
fixed as the time and place when the aforesaid Petition for
vacating the aforesaid portion of S. W. Harris Place shall be
heard and determined, whichsaid hearing date is not more than
sixty nor less than twenty days from the dateof passage of
this Resolution.
SECTION II: The City Clerk ishereby authorized
and directedto give notice of said time and hearing as provided
by. RCW 35.79.020 and any and/or all persons interested therein
or objecting to saidvacation may then appear and beheard
thereon, or they may file their written objecti.onsthereto with
the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation.

SECTION III: The City. Council shall determine, as
provided for in RCW .35.79 ..030 as to whether an appraisal shall
be secured to determine the fair market value of the property.

and the amount of compensation to be paid by. the Petitioner-
Owners tothe City for such vacation but which said amount
shall not exceed one-half of the'appraised value of thearea
to be vacated.
The City likewise reserves the right to retain an
easement for public utility and related purposes .

strip of land being 11 .5 feet on either side of the centerline
of said streetwhich lies easterly of the easterly ROW line of •
Hardie Ave. SW and westerly of the westerly ROW line of Rainier
Ave. S. (State Road No. 5) .
