CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO . 2136
WHEREAS the City of Renton, on its own initiative,
pursuant to the requirement of RCW 35 . 79. 030 wishes to vacate all
or any portion of a certain street as hereinafter more particularly
described, to-wit:
SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A"
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to fix a date for public
hearing thereon, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : That the 17th day of October, 1977 , at the-
hour of 8: 00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal
Building, Renton, King County , Washington, be and is hereby fixed
as the time and place for hearing on the vacation of the aforedescribed
portion of S .W. Harris Place, which said hearing date is not more
than sixty (60) days nor less than twenty (20) days from the date
of passage of this Resolution.
SECTION II : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by
RCW 35 . 79 . 020 and any and/or all persons interested therein or
objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon,
or they may file their written objections thereto with the City
Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation.
SECTION III : The City Council may determine at or prior '
to said hearing whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine

the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as
provided for in Ordinance No . .2349; the City likewise reserves
the right to retain an easement for public utility and other public
purposes over any of the portion determined to be vacated.
