CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2061
WHEREAS the Housing Authority of the City of Renton has hereto-
fore made application to the U. S. Housing and Urban Development Department,
acting through its Secretary, for the purpose of program reservation of
100 units of new construction for low income Senior-Citizen Housing
pursuant to Section 8 (Housing Assistance Payment Program) and
WHEREAS it is necessary and advisable for the governing body
of the locality, to-wit : The City of Renton, to approve such application
in compliance with the law, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the public interest and for the
public benefit to provide such housing as hereinabove set forth, NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The City of Renton hereby approves the application
hereinabove set forth for the application for necessary funding and the
construction of 100 units for low income Senior-Citizen Housing pursuant
to Section 8 (Housing Assistance Payment Program) .
The City Clerk of the City of Renton is hereby authorized and
directed to provide certified copies of this Resolution to the Housing
Authority of the City of Renton and any and all other governmental
agencies requiring same.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 23rd day of August, 1976.
