CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2067

A Resolution approving a Joint Comprehensive Solid Waste
Management Plan and authorizing an interlocal agreement with King
County, pursuant to RCW 39. 34 ; and
WHEREAS, the City has completed all steps required by law as
conditions precedent to the adoption of a Joint Comprehensive Solid
Waste Management Plan as set forth in RCW 70. 95 and RCW 35 . 63; and
WHEREAS , said plan will result in a cooperative, coordinated
comprehensive solid waste management plan for the disposal of all
solid waste generated within all municipalities and political
subdivisions within the boundaries of King County; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered said Joint Comprehensive
Solid Waste Management Plan at a public hearing on September 13,
1976;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RENTON, as follows :
That the City Council hereby approve the Joint Comprehensive
Solid Waste Management Plan for all jurisdictions within King County,
a copy of which is filed with the City Clerk in City File No. CAG 061-76
and by this reference made a part hereof, as a plan for the adoption
of a comprehensive county-wide solid waste handling program which
will prevent land, air and water pollution and conserve the natural
and economic resources of this area. Authorize the Mayor and the

City Council to develop and execute with King County an interlocal
agreement to provide fcr the disposal of solid waste collected in
Renton.
