HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2069 f CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2069 WHEREAS, Chairperson Lew Innocenti and the members of the Renton Bicentennial/Diamond Jubilee Committee have contributed generously of their time and talents to plan and carry out a year-long celebration in commemoration of our nation's 200th birthday and our city's 75th anniversary, and WHEREAS, this committee has provided many hours of entertainment and enjoyment for the citizens of the greater Renton community by sponsoring and coordinating many official Bicentennial events and projects, and WHEREAS, the committee sponsored the project to provide a lasting memorial to commemorate our nation's Bicentennial and our city's Diamond Jubilee to demonstrate to coming generations our community's appreciation for the past and confidence in the future, and WHEREAS, Mr. Innocenti and the members of the Renton Bicentennial/ Diamond Jubilee Committee have worked tirelessly and unselfishly in a spirit of voluntary service which is characteristically and uniquely American and deserving of recognition by the community they have served so well, NOW THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON do hereby resolve to officially recognize and acknowledge the contribution of the members of the Renton Bicentennial/Diamond Jubilee Committee in providing a memorable and enjoyable year in celebration of our nation's Bicentennial and our city's Diamond Anniversary. Committee members, in addition to Chairperson Lew Innocenti, include the following persons: Margaret Anderson Tom Leonard Connie Casarietti Joann Morgan John Cleere Jean Musselwhite Rebecca Cleere Toni Nelson Ed Davis Clark Petersen Jim Denzer Stewart Pope Chuck Fournier Richard Stredicke Rev.
