Home My WebLink AboutRES 2078I' \F •. . c' r • CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2078 WHEREAS, the City of Renton, a municipal corporation, acting as a noncharter code city under the laws and statutes of the State of Washington has been negotiating for the acquisition of certain properties as herein more particularly described for the purpose of establishing a Senior Citizens Activity Center, and WHEREAS proper funds therefore have been provided and appropriated, and WHEREAS the City has heretofore caused an appraisal of said property to be made by a qualified appraiser establishing its fair market value in the sum of$66, 249 . 00 , and WHEREAS full compliance has been had with all applicable laws concerning the acquisition of said property including the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, Public Law 91-646 , and WHEREAS the owner of said real property has been provided with all of the pertinent information regarding said acquisition and the determination of the fair market value thereof, and WHEREAS the City and said owner 4Emp entered into a written "Option" Agreement under date of NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, as follows : SECTION I : The above recitals and findings are hereby found to be true and correct in all respect. SECTION II : It is hereby determined and established that the fair market value of the following described property and as per its appraisal , is the sum of $66, 249 . 00 and said parcel of property constituting 31, 547 square feet and being more particularly described on the attached Exhibit, labeled Exhibit "A" which is incorporated -1- • • 4 • herein as if fully set forth. SECTION III: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary steps including the execution of all proper documents to secure the acquisition of said parcel of real estate for the purpose of establishing thereon a Senior Citizens Activity Center. The Mayor, or his duly authorized representative, shall further take all necessary action to secure any additional funding, over and above the amount presently appropriated in City of Renton 1976 Budget Account No. 000/07 . 538. 32. 61 as provided by law. Any such conveyance by the owner of said land shall be by Statutory Warranty Deed, free and clear of all encumbrances except that certain easement of record as set forth in Transamerica Title Insurance Company' s Report No . 690093, dated August 2 , 1976, further reference being hereby had thereto.
