CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2002
WHEREAS the City of Renton has within the Equipment Rental Fund
seven (7) vehicles which have been replaced with new equipment
during recent months , and also three (3) pieces of equipment in
the Fire Department to be disposed of but not replaced, and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of the City of Renton
to declare said equipment and vehicles surplus , and to dispose
of same in the best and most advantageous manner to the City of
Renton, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The aforesaid recitals and findings are hereby
found to be true and correct in all respects . •
SECTION II : Itis hereby found and determined that the following
vehicles and equipment are no longer needed for any public use or
purpose and there is no foreseeable requirement or need therefor,
and all of said items are hereby declared surplus , to-wit :

The City' s Purchasing Agent is authorized and directed to advertise
for the sale of the abovedescribed vehicles and equipment , upon
sealed bids , and as otherwise provided by law. The City reserves
the right to reject and„ and all bids and to waive any irregularities
in the form of the bid. All vehicles and equipment shall be sold on
a cash basis .

SECTION III : All of such vehicles and equipment shall be
sold in their "as is" condition without any warranty, express or
implied, on the part of the City of Renton.
