RESOLUTION NO. 7004
WHEREAS , the City of Renton, a municipal corporation, operating
as a non-charter code city , has heretofore , for many years past , been
a city member of the "PUGET SOUND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS" and
WHEREAS said Council has been instrumental in aiding and assisting
its members , including the City of Renton, in furnishing various services ,
studies and other relevant data that have been helpful in combatting
local problems and in contributing to the solution of ever-increasing
municipal obligations , and
WHEREAS the City of Renton believes that the continuation of
said PUGET SOUND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS is of public benefit and
should not be impeded, NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recitals and findings are hereby found
to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II : The City of Renton hereby reaffirms its confidence
in and commitment to the activities and actions of the "PUGET SOUND
COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS" and hereby affirms its intent to continue its
membership in said body.
