CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 1896
WHEREAS the City of Renton has certain items of personal
property as hereinafter described, and same being of no further
use or benefit to the City or any of its departments , and there
being no foreseeable requirement for said equipment in the future ,
and
WHEREAS it is in the public interest to dispose of said
equipment on terms most favorable to the City, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : It is hereby found and determined that all of
the items of personal property as more particularly described on
the attached Exhibit labeled "A" , consisting of three pages , are •
no longer needed for any public use or purpose and same are hereby
designated surplus in all respects .
SECTION II : The City' s Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized
and directed to advertise forthe e sale of the above described
equipment, upon sealed bids , and as otherwise provided by law.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any irregularities in the form of the bid. All of said
equipment will be sold on a cash basis , in "as is" condition
without any warranty, expressed or implied.
a. In the event no bid or bids are submitted for any
particular item or any such amount offered is less than the fair
market appraisal of such item, then the Purchasing Agent may
negotiate for the sale of any such item but in no event for
less than its appraisal price . •
