RESOLUTION NO. 1897
WHEREAS the City of Renton and the Renton Police Officers Guild
have heretofore , as part of the Collective Bargaining process , amended
the existing contract between the parties , including amendment to
Article III (Employment Practices) by adopting a so-called "Bill of
Rights" for the members of the Renton Police Officers Guild, as
represented by said bargaining unit, and
WHEREAS it is considered advisable and in the public interest
to extend the provisions of said "Bill of Rights" to other officers
of the Renton Police Department who are not encompassed by said
bargaining unit, NOW THEREFORE ,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above recital and findings are hereby found to
be true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : That certain amendment to Article III (Employment
Practices) of the City' s Collective Bargaining Agreement with the
Renton Police Officers Guild , a copy of said amendment being attached
hereto , and made a part hereof as if fully set forth, is hereby
extended and shall likewise apply to the officers of the Renton Police
Department who are not presently covered by said designated bargaining
unit of the Renton Police Officers Guild.
